LiveEcon now gives lecturers the ability to engage their students between classes.

Using the new Engage feature, lecturers can set assignments on the LiveEcon interface, and monitor the participation of each student on the course.

To save lecturers’ time in writing assignments, LiveEcon includes pre-prepared scenarios and questions for each topic, which can be set as homework. Students will read a topical case study and use LiveEcon’s powerful, interactive modelling tools to investigate the impact on the economy of real-world events.

Once the answers are submitted, the lecturer receives reports in real time, enabling them to understand the level of understanding in the class, prior to preparing the next lesson.

Students are more able to participate in tutorials as they have gained hands-on understanding of the economic model between classes, and can better relate the subject to the outside world.

In addition to using LiveEcon’s scenarios, lecturers can use ready made quizzes, set their own questions or ask students to view one of LiveEcon’s animated tutorials.
